About Polytechnic Forum
The Polytechnic forum is an annual event held by the five polytechnics (Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic) to centrally surface issues facing the nation and the world and to engage youth in these issues.  Why do we need to do this?  The primary reason is to help youth to appreciate how dynamic the world is and to focus on what might be some means by which we could manage some of these issues.  It is really to give youth a voice and the confidence to appreciate the critical aspects of nationhood.

Polytechnic Forum 2017
The theme of Polytechnic Forum 2017 (PF2017) is Shaping Our Tomorrow. The theme addresses the uncertainties and the unknowns of the future, beyond SG50. It, however, does accommodate great possibilities and opportunities for young Singaporeans to reflect on as they work and look forward to SG75.

The theme takes direction from the work of the Committee on Future Economy (CFE), whose aim is to keep the Singapore economy competitive by helping to position Singapore for the future and identify areas of growth with regard to regional and global developments. It also draws inspiration from the National Day Rally 2016 speech where PM Lee raised several issues including the future economy, governance, leadership succession, national security and unity.
